Because micro macramé involves knotting miniature works, a different yarn is required than for regular macramé. Typically, a thin thread between 0.5 mm and 1.2 mm thick is used. The smaller the diameter, the more detail you can incorporate into the piece. To ensure the knots hold well and the work is straightforward, a waxed cord, such as our Linhasita yarn, is ideal. Polyester threads are comfortable to hold, tear-resistant, and easy to work with.
