For macramé jewelry, you can use leather cords or embroidery thread in addition to classic macramé yarn. For larger projects, you can cut fabric scraps into strips or use thick wool. However, if you want to create a classic macramé, we recommend using macramé yarn. This is particularly easy to knot and makes working on your project easier.
How much macrame yarn you need depends on your project. You should plan on at least four times the length of the finished macrame. For thicker yarn or a very dense knot sequence, you may need eight times as much.
